Dr. N. Curtis Slack is an extremely compassionate and charitable individual who believes in giving back to his community through volunteer service and the ongoing financial support of many local and national charities.

In conjunction with Crown Council, a national organization of over 700 dental groups, Dr. Slack is proud to be participating in a very special donation/fundraising effort entitled "Smiles for Life"". In the last 4 years the Smiles For Life Foundation has received contributions exceeding $11,700,000 and has contributed to more than 115 children's charities in North America.

Smiles for Life is a tooth whitening campaign whereby participating dentists provide their services free of charge in exchange for a charitable contribution. Discus Dental, makers of Nite White and Day White, donate all of the supplies needed for whitening. Since the participating dentists have paid all the expenses of the campaign, 100 percent of the contributed money goes directly to charity.

Fundraising efforts help the charaties cover all costs beyond those reimbursed by third-party insurers, and all costs when patients have no insurance. Multiply that times the treatment of 150 patients a day and one can quickly calculate the necessity of programs like "Smile for Life".
